Alpine Habitats is a nature based eco tourism resort, surrounded by the Snow Gum Woodlands of the Thredbo Valley in the Snowy Mountains and located in close proximity to the New South Waled ski resorts.

The unobtrusive self contained Habitats are scattered amongst the snow gums on 40 acres of bush land in the Snowy Mountains, with the Alpine Mountain regions of the Kosciuszko National Park right at the doorstep. Using eco design and construction techniques the 18 Alpine Habitats eco cabins provide high quality green holiday accommodation in a unique alpine environment.

Each Alpine Habitat is self-sufficient with luxury furnishings, complete with cooking facilities, dishwasher, filtered rain/bore water, Ecosmart open fire, in-slab heating, drying cupboard, DVD, in house movies, BBQ, 2 Bedrooms (Sleeps 4) – Sleeping Options – 2 x King beds, 4 x Single beds or a King and 2 x Singles, 2 car spaces per Habitat and boat parking available.

The Alpine Habitats eco cabins are located close to the NSW ski resorts; Ski Tube to Perisher (5 min), Thredbo (20 min) and Lake Jindabyne (10 min).

Alpine Habitats is a ‘Nature Based Eco Tourism Resort’, defined by the Snowy River Shire Council as; “an ecologically suitable tourist accommodation with onsite waste management and attractions involving support for, enjoyment of, and education about the natural characteristics of the land on which it is located and its surrounding landscape”.
